Paul O’Dowd and Gallery Update

Paul O’Dowd’s, the grandson of Late George Chang (Chang Hock-Shu) and Monica Chang, and nephew of Karen Change is 23 years old and is battling a very rare form of cancer.

In addition to supporting his Fundraiser Dinner, those who wish to donate can do so by sending a cheque made out to “Brian O’Dowd in trust for Paul O’Dowd” to 229 Catalina Drive, Scarborough, ON, M1E 1B8 or to The Fui Toong On Society, 102 D’Arcy street, Toronto, Ontario, M5T 1K1.

Any assistance, however small, would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Thank You and a Special Message

A HUGE thanks to everyone who came out to our 30th Anniversary Christmas Dinner last night. We hope you enjoyed all the food, performances, prizes and dancing! We love to see all our members and guests come out this time of year, and would like to thank you for your ongoing support.

The dinner is on January 24th, 2009 at Ellas Banquet Hall, 35 Danforth Road from 6pm-1am. Tickets cost $110 and include dinner, open bar, DJ and dancing. There will also be a silent auction, 50/50 draw and other prizes which include:

  • A Ballybunion Golf Vacation in Ireland for Two
  • Weekend at the Renaissance Hotel in Toronto
  • 5-Star Spa Vacation at the Park Hotel Kenmare in Ireland

Part Time Secretary Wanted

The Fui Toong On Society is currently looking to hire a Part Time Secretary to handle its daily affairs. The work days will be 9-5 on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The candidate should be able to read, write and speak Hakka , Cantonese and English.
