Scarborough Summer Fest – Hakka Heritage

Looking for something fun to do this weekend?

Join us for this year’s Scarborough Summerfest, a 3-day event series filled with multicultural performances from local artists!

This exciting event running from July 8-10 will feature performances such as Chinese Dance, Indian Dance and much more! Register for free today. This event series is proudly supported by Canadian Heritage & City of Toronto.

OPENING NIGHT: 

The 2022 Scarborough Summerfest Opening Night will take place tonight from 7:30-9pm at the P.C. Ho Theatre! The opening night will feature cultural performances from artists such as Mi Yung Kim and First Nations Dance Company.

July 9th, Saturday: 

The fun continues with Day 2 of the 2022 Scarborough Summerfest!

July 10th, Sunday: 

Today marks the very last day of the 2022 Scarborough Summerfest! If you missed the first two days of the Summerfest, be sure not to miss today’s delicious food fest 🥳

Lilian Chin Ping Sing

March 10, 1932 – May 30, 2022

Passed away peacefully, on Monday May 30, 2022, at Etobicoke General Hospital, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Vernon. Loving mother of Mary (Chi-Fai), Patricia (Cupid), David (the late Bilu), Brian (Jennifer), Toney (Denise), Linda, Robert (Cheryl) and Gordon (Yvette). Much loved grandmother of Michelle, Marsha, Brian Jr., Natasha, Lucas, Jonathan, Michael, Stephen and Gregory. Proud great grandmother of Oscar, Ezio, Avangeline, Frankie, Max, Cara, Summer, Matthew and Christopher. Predeceased by grandchildren Bobby and Bimoy. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all her family and friends.

Mrs. Chin Ping Sing was an Honourable Lifetime President and long standing Fui Toong On Society’s member. Her late husband, Vernon, was the former Chairman, past President and a co-founder of the Society.    


Visitation: Friday June 10, 2022 from 6pm-9pm at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke.

Funeral Service: Saturday June 11, 2022 at 11am in the Chapel

Internment: Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga.
